Wire Transfers of Funds

As an additional means of providing quick access to savings, Four Points Federal Credit Union provides wire transfers of funds at an extremely low cost. Wire transfers involve the electronic movement of money through the Federal Reserve System directly from an account at the credit union to a member's account at another financial institution. The transfer of funds is immediate.

The cost of wire transfers is only $5 for amounts of $300 or more. The cost is $20 for wire transfers under $300. the credit union does not charge for the receipt of incoming wire transfers from other institutions.

When requesting wire transfers, members are advised to check first with the institution where the money is being sent. Most institutions charge for receiving incoming wire transfers and there is a wide variation in the amount of this fee.

In particular, you need to understand your liability. The credit union will rely on instructions and information provided by you to make such transfers. If incorrect information is provided, you are liable for any loss of funds or costs associated with correcting errors.
